My friend and I attempted to get into the ticket scalping business. We have had some successes and some failures. Tonight was a definite failure. We bought Smashing Pumpkin tickets thinking they would be easy to flip. This was not the case. Stuck with the tickets, we went down tonight to try to either sell the tickets to a real scalper, or see the show. The best offer we got was $30 for the pair, so we went inside.
What a piece of shit. I wanted to leave during the first 20 minute, prog-rock piece of garbage they subjected us to. I actually paid more attention to the election on my phone than to the next half hour of songs, not one which of which I had heard beforehand. And we left during the encore, during another headache enducing prog-rock ballad. There were maybe 5 songs in total that I knew and they didn’t even play “Bullet With Butterfly Wings”, probably the only song I would have paid to have listened to.
I am more than upset.
